Replacement seat heaters
Hi all,
None of my seat heaters were working so I decided to replace them. I've seen some articles about repairing the seat heaters on the 240 but even when they are working great they're not going to compare to modern heaters. I bought these heaters from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0064TJNCC Fitting them was fairly straightforward and the switches are almost a perfect fit, just had to make the slots a bit wider using a file and the holes are a bit too long. I could do with a new centre console anyway as mine has lots of broken off bits and cracks so I'll do a better job when that happens. The seats heat up in about 10 seconds!! |

Looks nice, is it fairly easy to strip seats? Only one of my seats works so this vould be a good upgrade.

It's definitely worth doing if you don't mind non-standard switches although they also do different versions with just on/off switches so you may be able to reuse the original switches if you wanted to. |

"is it fairly easy to strip seats"
Quite straight forward: ~ just take you time, small cable ties will come in very handy to replace the hog rings- If the seats are grubby then they can be washed by hand—warm water mind detergent & borrow the washing line! Good luck. Bob |
