there was an outage this morning. the clocks got messed up. they reset them and now some posts are appearing mid thread. looks weird when quoting posts from the future!! i'm sure we'll cope!

I remember a "top tip" in viz years ago that went something along the lines of, convince your bank manager that you are actually a time lord by using the cheques from your cheque book in a random sequence !

Excellent stuff indeed Mrjon!. There was also one about imprisoning a bunch of angry wasps in a Cigar tube/case. I'll let you work out for yourselves what this was supposed to be a DIY version of......

- avoid parking tickets by leaving your windscreen wipers turned to 'fast wipe' whenever you leave your car parked illegally.

- save petrol by pushing your car to your destination. invariably passers-by will think you've broken down and help.
