Good idea Nick, would never have thought of that.

I had my XC90 for nearly a week before I noticed a dent in one of the stainless sills. Thankfully I'd taken a few photos shortly after picking it up and they proved usefull in convincing the dealer it wasn't my fault.

I was lucky as our sales-lady offered to set up the car to our liking.

She went through the on-board computer menu and asked how we wanted each variable to be set. It also made us aware of the many variables.

Particularly, I would recommend that you also take all the bluetooth phones that you want to use in the car, and ask to have these set up. At delivery time she set up my phone and it looked easy. At home I tried to set up the wife's phone but it just did not happen. In frustration she drove back to the showroom and the staff kindly fixed it in a few moments.

Do I need to have a iPod so I can have different folders in the car? Or can I make folders on a memorystick?

Yes, good point. Well worth spending time at the dealership setting up your Bluetooth, Radio settings, Aircon etc, you really don't want to be fiddling with unfamiliar controls on your drive home.

You can make different folders on a USB stick - but you cannot have playlists on a USB stick.

This means that if you wanted the same track in 2 lists then you would have to have the track in multiple folders.

Seriously? Next, you'll be asking the dealer to show you how to change the wheels . Call me old school, but isn't half the fun in taking collection of your new car, trying to figure out how everything works? And if all else fails, there's always this forum. I just checked the invoice and asked for the keys, please.
