I'm sure mine was about £75 from the stealers and no need to pay p&P. Good quality lightweight aluminium construction. I painted mine black as the silver paint made it stand out too much for my liking. It was one of the few times I have left the dealers without feeling ripped off.
I didnt notice much difference in the handling but I'm obviously out voted with this opinion.

Can you fit a strut brace to a D5 V70 (2002)? There is already a brace but I think it is just the top engine mounting point.

I'd agree with you, Simon. While I never drove my C70 without the brace, it doesn't really feel any different than my previous V70 in terms of turn in, etc. It just shudders a lot over bumps!!!

But it's one of those things that logically must be worth doing, especially given how inexpensive they are.

Default 855 AWD Strut Brace

Does anybody know if Volvo or other manufacturers do one for an 855 AWD? Or are they the same as a T5? It's got to miss the turbo pipe.

can't say i've seen under the bonnet of an AWD but here's a pic of my volvo brace on my 854 T-5, hope it helps to show if it will miss your pipes

It will actually miss better than normal T5's cos the engine sits lower in AWD models cos they have spaces on the subfames to lower the centre of gravity of the engine
