How does it compare to the conventional suspension in terms of every day comfort driving.
Also any options that are a must with these models?

Thanks again
I can provide a comparison on conventional suspension against air suspension on XC60 (not XC90) having had cars with both - for me air suspension is more comfortable, if a tiny bit 'floaty'.

The air suspension lowering for easier entry and exit is great - it's only a couple of inches but it makes a difference, especially for the vertically challenged.

The one option which I think is a 'must' is the 360 degree camera. These are large vehicles and the camera really helps with parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces.

XC90 is classed as a mid-size crossover SUV in the US.

In Britain, a large SUV would be the BMW X7 or the Mercedes GLS.

Almost 70000... and to the date... 0 problems. I had a problem with the interior modem in the beginning. It didn't connect but after a software update, everything was solved. Rather that that... nothing. Absolutely 0! Niente! Nada! ok.. you might think... well maybe you were lucky with your car... it doesn't mean all other MY19 are like yours. I agree... valid argumentation !but! from what i read...first units in the first 1 year,2 years, in a new model... you should always avoid.

MY16-18 had various teething problems, air suspension included. Volvo fixed all of them under warranty. MY19 and beyond are better.

Can you please elaborate what problems you had with your XC90 MY2018 (excluding anything air suspension-related)?

Mine is MY20. Search the forums here and on swedespeed.

One of the bigger issues was with ERAD which was upgraded for MY18 or 19. Various smaller issues (from top of my head): panoramic roof was leaning, air suspension condensation water froze, B&W amp overheated, powerpulse hose came loose, etc. Lot of software issues also. All of those have been resolved in newer MYs and for the older ones under warranty.

My interest was mostly at T8s and for them starting from MY19 there's a bigger fuel tank. MY20 also brought drive by wire and better brake feel. Sofar I'm really happy with my MY20 T8.

Friend of mine bought a MY16 D5 a year ago with 120 000km on the clock. He had a ignition button failed, but it was replaced under extended warranty. Nothing else for him. Get the extended warranty.
