Pretty sure (in fact positive) the Focus RS clutch and flywheel is upgraded over the Focus ST one (the ST one being the same as the 2.5 T5 with M66 Manual box) but willing to be corrected. Also, lots of reports of clutches slipping when power climbs above 260bhp, and validated first hand by a mate with a Mk2 Montune Focus ST running 260bhp. Clutch quickly started slipping after the Montune upgrade - obviously more prone on higher mileage.

The only problem ive found out so far is that im getting clutch glaze? I think from driving so slow now to preserve components haha so I have to floor it every now and then, and things get back to normal. |

I have just replaced my clutch and flywheel in my V70 2.4 T5 with a TTV flywheel and clutch from the S60R/V70R. The clutch that I removed was/is the same as the one you linked in your post above.. The real T5 clutch can and has been proven many times that is capable of handling well above the 260bhp you Ford boys are making.. Last edited by strbryan; Nov 13th, 2015 at 18:27. |
