Default Growing old together

Now had my 1998 V70 2.0 10V for 5 years and it is without doubt the best car I have ever owned. Nver let me down, never failed an MOT and is still on its original exhaust after 99k miles.
I'm 76 now and I really thought we could go on to the end of my motoring days. Sadly its me that is failing fastest and I am now finding that the lowness of the car to be a real problem, getting in, and even harder, getting out is now a major pain in the rear and I think I must trade in for something with higher seats. Going to look around and at the moment favouring a pre 2000 Toyota Rav 4 which is so easy to enter and exit from.
How sad is that?

I remember your previous postings, I think your family we're trying to persuade you to change cars.

Tis a shame that age appears to have finally caught up with you, but sometimes you do have to give in gracefully and do what you gotta do.

You could always wind the family up by telling them the forum members have advised that you can get monster truck tyres fitted to the old Volvo to raise the height of the car :-)

In this situation, I would go to the doctor and explain the situation, get revitalising testosterone injections and pills for the pain.
