Default V70 P2 lpg wiring - 2.3 T5

Hi all, new to the forums so HI!

I've recently bought a very nice 2.3 T5 V70 on a 2001 plate, but due to a change of job I now have a 90 mile round trip everyday, so rather than sell the car I opted to convert to LPG.

I've fitted all part no problems at all, however I'm unsure on the correct wires to tap into for the 2 Lambdas and the RPM signal.

I have found some documents which list the ecu pins, but i'm unsure of which to tap into for the correct signals. I believe A66 is the pin for the RPM signal.
Is tapping into the ecu pins the best way to get where I need to be, or is there an easier way? I have done conversions before, however I'm struggling with the Volvo wiring diagrams

Diagram of the kit I have;

Do not connect the lamda wires!

As to the RPM look at the coils and look at the colours of teh wires to each one and you will be able to work out which one is a signal to each coil.

Has the equipment supplier not been able to give you the advice on how to do it?

Thanks for that.
Just out of curiosity, what's the reason for not connecting the Lambda?

I didn't realise you could use the wires from the individual coils, my previous conversions were single coil. Makes sense though when I think about it.

I've spoken to the supplier but sadly they seem unable/ unwilling to help with the Volvos wiring - exactly the oppposite of what they told me before buying it!

Perhaps you would have been better off getting a kit from from a Volvo specialist installer.

You must not connect the lamda sensor wire as the Volvo uses a 5 wire probe. Most LPG systems are not compatible and can cause the petrol ECU to incorrectly read the mixture value

In hindsight, you're probably right. Many thanks for your help on this.

Oh and knowing where you got this kit from you need to do something about the injectors as they will not work the way they are supplied. Drop me a PM and I will explain what you need to do.

Sadly I don't have the PM function as yet. Is it the drilling of the injector nozzles you're refering too?

Thanks

For getting PM's post here

not the drilling but the LPG injectors. With the drilling if you are going to drill and tap then they need to be right down at the bottom of the manifold.

I have posted in the increase post section, cheers.

Manifold is drilled and tapped right down the bottom of the manifold in the correct position. I've also opened out the nozzles that screw to the injector manifold to the required size. Very interested in what you have to say mate regarding the injectors!!

Ah so for a change you have been told to drill them out. 2.5mm will just about do but 3mm is probably better.

You should also mount them so they are as near vertical as possible.
