Do you have one already, or are you retrofitting it? I have a complete one on my spare car and I'am happy to remove it. Problem is the postage.....

You can use my sisters address in the UK (My old folks objected to the hand rails being sent there, so I've changed UK address) and no need to register with Fleabay. I'm not passing by the UK until late November, so I'm in no rush as it will be a Christmas present for the other half.

I don't have a sunroof fitted at present, so will need all the switches, motor et al and will get my local OEM standard crash repair place to fit it, as they are real good.

Anything listed in Vadis about how to fit one ??

My partner and daughter insist we need one and we live very near a real top class crash repair and paint shop, that is not too expensive for the locals when they are not busy with insurance jobs. They will have no trouble fitting it, BUT I'm not sure how long the wiring and switch changes will take. No chance of a warrranty with a second hand one, but Volvo don't seem to sell new ones as far as I can tell from a Fleabay search.

Bloody hell..... I would love to do this conversion. I guess they might also have to re enforce the roof with additional bars.

Make sure it's done correctly otherwise the instability in the roof structure will be fatal in a collision. From what research I've done from wanting to do this your better swapping whole rods over which unfortunately in a v40 mean d pillars too or as Gatos said it needs reinforcement.

Speaking of which Gatos be interesting to see a photo of the sunroof without the headliner (which you'll also need starship unless you fancy cutting and gluing it back together as it'll separate into two parts) then can see what difference is already there.

Make sure you inform your insurance company of such changes as they will completely invalidate your policy!!!

TUV approved!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure they dont use silicone when fitting it as itll seep into the bodywork, burrow into your engine and contaminate your oil resulting in engine death, turbo failure and spontaneous explosions over speedbumps.

OK, so are you saying a normal V40 Volvo roof was not designed to accept a sunroof ??
If it does not fit between the cross bars and a new one has to be welded in, I will wait for another 7 years before fitting one, as the car will be resprayed then.

I'm looking for dark grey or blue SIPS approved front seat covers at present, as my present ones are so stained and dirty they are going to be in need of a recycling bin trip soon. I'm not sure which brown liquid got spilt on the pax one, but the TUV approved Bosch washing machine failed to shift it!
