Can I ask?

Did you do this, if you did are the circumference of the 18 the same a the 17.

Cheers
You need to chose a tyre with a different profile number to keep the rolling circumference of the wheel/tyre the same. On my S60 I can use

235/45/17 or if I go to 18" wheels my tyres would be 235/40/18

ok thanks, I've got to go down to my garage to checkout my front left wheel to see if its buckled? If it is I'll see if I can pick up an 18" Axion wheel. if not I may go down the route of 17" depending on the cost. I've got to renew 3 tyres anyway.
