Default P1800e back axle exchange into 140

Hi
Is the P1800 axle with discs the same fit as a 140 back axle.
Appreciate the diff ratios may differ...

Cheers

You've posted this in the 'for sale' section. I have compared a spare axle I have from a '72 1800es with the axle on my '72 145 with a view to swapping, however there seem to be too many differences in the suspension mountings. It could be overcome with some cutting and welding. Also, the overall width is slightly different, so probably not worth it but good 140 axles are hard to find.

The 1800 axle is narrower and wrong mounts. If you need a 140 axle I would swap one for a 1800E/ES axle
