C30 cranks but wont start

C30 2008 1.8 ff
I hope someone can help because i'm pulling my hair out.
Last week the alternator packed in while my wife was driving. Power steering went first then radio then lights etc. She got home just making it and i replaced the alternator with a brand new one.
Now it wont start.
It will turn fine but wont fire.
I have spark and i can here the fuel pump going.
I cant figure out why it wont start
Any ideas?

how long was it without battery power when your alternator failed? it may have an imobiliser fault. try to get the codes read
