Default "Volvo in call" set up

Hi, thanks for accepting me into the Volvo Community!
I am now on my 2nd Volvo (V60 S6 PHEV).2016
Now had car 2 weeks and still awaiting charging cables from supplier but got a sparky coming on Friday to fit Zappi tethered charger 7kw. to garage.
I have driven only on power mode as no juice in battery and very impressed so far although very thirsty without battery!
Only issue I have so far is with "Volvo on call" set up.&
I realised eventually that this is a subscription service so I duly subscribed.
Having no access code I phoned the main dealer who give me the 4 digit code.
When the screen asks for the code and I input it the message tells me it is wrong!
I phoned the dealership who confirmed everything was OK with pin etc.
So now at a point where I am running out of options!
Does a sim card have to be present before it acknowledges the pin?
Not sure where to go next, any advise would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers, Pete

VOC uses the cars in-built sim so no need for a p-sim. Is the vehicle from a Volvo dealership? Just some random thoughts, has the previous owners details been erased from the car, maybe a reason the pin is not recognised.

I came to a point I couldn't get past on my set up too, I called to my local volvo dealer and a guy came out to the car and 5 minutes later it was all set up. I didn't get the car from the dealer either.

Hi, thanks for replies!

MIKE GMT- The car is not from a Volvo dealer but a well known large 2nd hand dealer.
I assume when I phoned Volvo that he had checked previous owner had been erased etc for him to generate a pin number for me.I did phone them again to tell them I was experiencing problems but he said all was OK at their end.
Will have another go today otherwise
Might have to go to dealership in person if that's possible?

Cheers,Pete

Hi, update on VOC issue.
I did further searching on line and found a thread where someone had same issue and ended up pushing the SOS button on the roof courtesy light which initialised VOC and allowed app to connect.
I duly did the same but actually got through to 999 (didn't cancel quick enough!)still it worked and I now have the app up and running albeit with some wrong mileage figures will try and sort that later.
The joys of trying to find your way around new technology😀

Update #2 . Thought I had it working until I tried to use the app to test it was OK.
On unlocking the doors remotely nothing happened (progress bar shows for 1 minute then it says "your Volvo may have difficulty communicating if it has no mobile coverage or is in power save mode).so I checked the VOC screen in the car and it is still asking for an access code which I duly input but was rejected.
So I have the app with all the cars details but notice the mileage is wrong by 17k.
Is power save mode when hybrid batteries are low, because mine are until I have my tethered charger fitted this Friday.
I hope I can sort it when batteries are recharged!
