Hi all,

I'm looking to purchase my first XC60 and looking to spend around £10k. Never driven one but like the look of them what should I look out for when buying?

Service history, reasonable mileage for year. There’re not a cheap car to run or care for , satisfy yourself it’s the best you can afford.
I hope you find what you are looking for.

Just bought my first Volvo in November. A 2012 XC60 D5 AWD. se lux nav in a manual. 95k on clock. Not an issue at all.A proper vehicle for the job off and on road with proper tyres. Got some grunt! £165 per annum tax. 36mpg averaging and I do pedal it sometimes. I Have had discos and rangers different I know but now👍🏻 Being on here helps and saves money on maintenance etc. Just buy one it's not a dress rehearsal 👍🏻

I really like the look of them been looking at a number of SUVs and the XC60 just seems a little more luxurious than some of the competition. Mainly X3s and Freelander 2s were the others I've checked out but keep being pulled to the Volvo and they seem to get good reliability scores. I don't do too many miles though and of course the majority are diesels so I realise I'll have to take it out for a good run to stop things getting clogged up.

Yes. Take it out and boot it from time to time.Put a smile on ya face. All other cars with similar engineering need the same to, this dpf technology. At least the model I have ain't "adblue"

I was exactly the same I bought my first XC60 in late October last year, always wanted an XC60 for the last 3 years but before going for one I looked at every suv to see if any came close to looks or equipment and couldn't find one
Ok I did spend a bit more just under 16K but got a 2.4 D5 AWD SE Lux Nav on a 16 plate with 35000 miles on the clock and had a great spec

That looks nice, give it test run, get it warm, ensure everything works as it should.
My Xc 60 is by far the most comfy car I have ever owned. But you don’t find that out until you have sat in it for hours.

Will have to wait as they are only open for click and collect or home delivery due to Covid restrictions.

thats a shame

I ended up having to travel 230 miles to get the car that I wanted as it ticked all the boxes but that one you are looking at looks really nice.
I do like the blue colour but the last 2 cars I had were blue so I needed a change
