Question help with dull/hazy fog light

got a v40 phase 2 foglights and tinting the lens yellow and painting the inside black. So took the lenses off to do that.

One of the lense before i started was a bit scratched and dull so i decided to go through the sanding stages to get the scratches out. I knew this would make the plastic hazy, so had the rubbing compound out to go over it with, then some polish, but no luck. It's a bit better than before but still not clear and shiny. any tips on how to get it clear and shiny like the other one?

Put a polishing mop onto a drill then polish with Brasso, Duraglit or similar fora while then repeat with jewellers rouge,, or Perspex polish - takes a while but it works. I did daughters Clio and they are now crystal clear
