Overfilled oil - how to remove oil easiest
Any ideas how i can quickly suck out the oil from the dipstick?
Which cheap tool is best? Amazon reviews say the tube is too thick that comes with the suction devices. Not in any position to get the car in the air you see, other than a garage and labour time thanks

how much overfilled ? a little bit wont matter, although lots will.
reminds me of a mate of mine, always high spirits, does stuff then maybe thinks about it afterwards. He changed the oil on his old vauxhall. Couldnt understand why it belched smoke and ran like an old tractor, sometimes the engine would run on after switching off. Had to stop by stalling it. He had forgotten to drain the old oil first ! There was 2 gallons in the sump, not one, it was dieseling on engine oil. Oddly enough it ran much better after draining some out. Oh how we still chuckle about that one.

agree with above - just go to local garage and ask them to suck a bit out.

Another friend "filled" her engine with oil till she could see the oil level in the filler neck. Locked the engine good and proper.

Although another option is to crack the sump plug drain and refill to the correct level on dipstick.

This pump worked for me
This (cheap) pump worked for me a few years ago on a 2007 S80 D5 for exactly this problem. The thin tube goes down the oil dipstick tube and you can suck out as much oil as you need into a jar or bottle. It tends to be a messy job but it does work. The oil has to be warm before it will flow through the thin tube so run your engine for e few minutes before starting. Just be careful not to force the tube down further than it needs to go or it could get stuck in the engine. At your own risk!
