Thumbs up Infotainement Blank ?? V60 2014 D6 Hybrid

Hello everybody, had a bit of a shock the other day my screen packed up for no reason. Checked the fuse N°16 I think under the glovebox, as this is a LHD car, all ok, but screen totally dead and my system interrogation box (Thinkcar) shows that the different modules cannot communicate with the Infotainment control module.

I suppose my main question is how do I know if the screen etc is broken or should I try and see what is going on. There are no other indications apart from an error message on the CEM giving U015600 Lost comms with Infotainment Control Module.

This is not the end of the world as I have been wondering about a larger touch screen upgrade, but it would be good to know if it is totally U/S or just a fuse tyme minor issue. Are these units not very reliable or do they have a short life, as it is already 9 years old. Any ideas gratefully received thank you.
