Matching Red (70) 62 jensen
Hey all,
Im having a bit of trouble matching the original paint. practically all paint shops dont have the code in the system and require a patch of paint around the size of a buisness card to be scanned which will be hard as the paint on the car is not the original. i am wishing to paint the engine bay in 2k with the closes colour possible to the original. any info/ideas/comparable colours? thanks. |

I'm having similar trouble as my car has been resprayed a colour that isn't original. I've tried many local shops, none are at all keen - they seemingly don't want the hassle of it.
The most helpful have actually been the ones that my local Volvo agent uses - they currently have the car and are experimenting with different tints until they can get a good enough match. However, this is all being done by eye. There's a company with a spectrometer in Chesterfield that I'll try if this avenue doesn't work, but it's a fair old drive from Bedford so I'd rather stay local if I can. |
