I previously posted about an issue with failure to charge when using the timer, if the battery was at zero %. I have booked my car into the dealer to investigate, but then I received 2.14.3 a week or so ago, and I have noticed a different behaviour at the charging port in addition to the published 'flashing' will now be 'pulsing':
1. If the timer is set on the app, when I plug in, the port goes blue as expected. No change here.
2. Within a few moments I noticed that the white lamp on the cable was pulsing (usually means charging) and the port started pulsing green. The app said it was plugged in, not charging, scheduled charge set. Weird.
3. I went into the house to check the reading on my smart meter ... it was running at 400W (usually 2500W if charging - is 400W a trickle charge???). I watched it, and after 2 minutes, the meter dropped back to normal background count. I went back to the car and the port was blue again.
4. The car charged correctly overnight on the timer, so it looks like they have done something to the way it behaves and appears to have fixed my problem.
5. I have tried this a few times with the same observations.

Anyone else with similar observations, or is it just me? I might still go to the dealer as planned just to check it all out.

Thanks

It looks like they tried something different on the MY24 cars in how they charge and it didnt work (as per your accounts on lack of reliable charging).
My MY22.5 AAOS car has behaved as you describe upon initial plugging in since Volvo brought in the scheduled charging feature on the app 12 or so months ago and I have never had a failed charge in that time. Looks like Volvo reverted back to a program stage that did actually work for the newer cars with 2.14.3.
Lets hope it continues!!
