me steerings gone a bit wooly

Right, never touched steering components myself, I let the garage do it normally. However I think the steering rack and pas pump are on their way out as there is one heck of a racket when I try and turn the directional device. Iv been down to my local trusted garage and he wont do it "car's not worth it" and lurch down the scrapyard (anything involved with engine internals I go to him) is out of action due to a bad back from rebuilding smart car engines all year.

What parts do I need? Any other parts you recommend I change? Any eBay links and ideas on how to go about it?

Take a sample of your pas fluid and describe the colour.

Briwn, greasy like old chip fat oil and smells like burnt out electronics...

Get it drained and some lovely fresh ATF in there
