If you go into the delivery tab in the diagnostics menu you can hit the erase all box down the bottom.
If the codes are gone the message will disappear off the dash. If you still have a turbo pressure fault that needs sorting first. First thing to check is to see if there are any boost leaks, loose pipe off the egr, or loose pipes to the inter cooler or the pipe out of the turbo resonator and under the sump. |

RESULT .... plugged the vacuum pipe back into the solenoid on the EGR, now runs like a dream not bad for 200k car.
The second hand EGR as worked a treat as has the swirl actuator. Plus a cleaned refurbished DPF. As suggested the oxygen sensor fault codes have all disappeared, which is a relief. Just need to sort the glow plugs; but I'm reluctant to fiddle as they look very likely to snap off. And a new condenser... which will be next year. All the help from this forum very much appreciated. Apologies.... you most certainly did; thanks. As has Landshark.
In Fault Trace click the Delivery Tab, scroll down and click on Erase All bottom left of the screen then carefully follow the on screen instructions before pressing OK. |

Pretty fed up ... should anyone still be interested.
"Soot Filter Full" warning has reappeared. I have put a reconditioned unit on and have to say it looked very clean when delivered. Wonder if is the sensor component that measures the two outlets from the DPF. DPF apparently has 12 months warranty, so may look int that. Also, MAF sensor issues on VIDA. So, next step will be to replace the MAF. With something between £20 and £200. I looked at MAF cleaner but that looks like good money down the drain (or electrical cleaner as two garages recommended ... not sure what the difference is). Car drives great but occasionally goes into a limp type mode. much more than 40mph is a problem. After a while the fault clears and its off like a rocket again! Nice car .. pain in the butt |

what maf codes have you?
I think the dpf issues are related to the maf, if the engine isnt burning clean the filter will fill with soot in no time, do the expected maf and actual maf figures tally across the rev range? |

I have landed on the fact that the MAF may need replacing but that's more guess work on my part trying to interpret the VIDA outputs. I did see a blue puff of smoke out the rear view mirror pulling onto a A road, which it never normally does. This is coupled with fact that having cleaned the original EGR unit when I took it out again to replace with spare it already had quite a coating of soot in it! Not a sticky build up but for only a week I was surprised. I noted that the butterfly was also only coated on one side with soot; so I assumed it must run int he energised and close position almost all the time?? (again that's a bit of guess work and ignorance) But I will look at the VIDA data again |

Fitted a new HAAS MAF the other day, faults cleared off OK. Part was supplied from EuroCar Parts as a credible replacement option for £54.
Day later the MAF codes were back. Have to say rather frustrated now. There are no oxygen sensor codes, but the DPF Soot Full code did come again for a while then cleared itself. Again rather odd as the DPF has been replaced. A new idea is that there may be a leak in the Intercooler pipe work?? Richard |
