Headlight levelling motors - do all x40s have them?

My v40 has dual headlights from the factory, I wanted to grab some single headlights dirt cheap for the adjuster motors, but turns out they are different. Pretty sure there are guides floating around about fitting dual headlights instead of single ones, I believe it involves a bit of rewiring.
