Braided hoses
So I'm going to be replacing 3 out of the 4 calipers on my C70 due to seized bleed nipples, when checking the fronts I noticed on the passenger side the rubber brake hose is pretty worn and is fraying so I'm thinking I may as well upgrade to front braided hoses...
On HEL and Goodridge there's 15" and 16" wheel hoses listed.. as I understand it there's 2 different disc sizes for front brakes on P80 cars? But both use the same calipers? In which case does it matter which hoses I get, if one is longer than the other could anyone direct me to that so it leaves the option to upgrade the discs to the bigger size in future without putting additional strain on the hoses? Cheers!

2 years ago I replaced all 4 brake hoses on my v70 with HEL and I decided to go with 16" because I wanted to upgrade to bigger discs in the future.
I didn't notice any additional strain on the hoses tbh Atm front discs on my car are 286mm 15" and I will change them to 305mm 16" in the next couple weeks . Same caliper, same pads but different discs and caliper brackets I think the difference is 10mm between 15" and 16"

Just be aware that when buying a braided hose kit that in addition to the 15" and 16" versions there are also 4 or 5 hose versions. The difference obviously being on the rear axle.

I only saw 15/16" wheel options, which I assume refers to 280/302mm discs. What is the issue that we need to be aware of on the rear? (I thought the rear ends were all one and the same).

Never looked at an AWD so maybe they have yet another set up?

I know for a fact that my 98 S70 had 4 hoses (2 at the rear) and my dad's old 2000my C70 T5 had 5 hoses (3 at the rear). No idea if it's just the c70s or if it's a model year change on all of them.

Thanks PNUT and ACSHORTT5.
Lastly, any votes if one is better than the other between HEL and Goodridge?

All I can add is I've had Goodridge on my kit car and still going strong after 30 years.

I've got Goodridge on my S40 but I'm willing to give HEL a try if the price is significantly lower.
I'm not planning to change the rear lines as they look fine (curiously I notice that they're hard lines directly to the calipers, rather than flexible rubber hoses). I'll get some 16" front hoses then, cheers guys. I am assuming the 16" hoses are the longer ones compared to the 15" ones?
