Default V70 2002 rear wiper, washer, locks not working

Car is new to me, tried cleaning all contacts, fuses and installing new s/h REM, still no joy.

Any ideas? Checked CEM for any corossion, and fuses under bonnet...

Most common reason is the cable loom where it exits the roof area and goes into the top of the tailgate.

Constant flexing of the cable eventually ends up with breaks in the wires in that area.

Trim panels in the area aren't horrendously difficult to remove; so you can try 'wiggling' the wires where are flexing the most and you might see signs of things trying to work.

Fixing the breaks can be a bit fiddly, though!

Thanks, I'll check that but I suspect it's more in the control circuit seeing as the central locking also doesn't work on tail gate rear doors and fuel cap.

Then I'd suggest you post in the >2000 forum, this section is for V70 up to 1999
