Phone symbol?

For some reason I have a phone symbol, top right on the info screen which has replaced car speed. This appeared after battery issues. I cannot find anything in the manual relating to phones so help please Any info appreciated D5 AWD SE Lux my 17 |

On my xc60 my17,16 plate the phone symbol indicates that my phone is connected.
why would you need it to show speed in a small window when you have a very big speedometer in front of you? |
