Default XC90 2018 Cracked Headlights

Hi I have a 2018 XC90, it doesn't do a lot of miles. About a month ago the small spider vein cracks appeared on both front headlights. This has now developed into full blow cracks, water has gotten in and now lights are malfunctioning.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?

If they are LED they will be very expensive. I'd get it to a dealer ASAP in the hope that it doesn't look like accident damage etc or you might be looking at a bill of about 2K.

Hi, I had the issue on my 2017 XC90. First the driver side. The dealer first told me this was a known issue from Volvo and that they would just replace it. Then they called me to tell me they would only take 50% of the replacement cost (950€) leaving me with an invoice of 950€... Following a letter sent to Volvo France, they agreed to replace the headlight and I had nothing to pay.

A couple of weeks ago, the other light block presented the same symptoms and has now water on it... I was called today by the dealer, it will be replaced for free. This seems to be a known issue within Volvo on the XC90s. You should get a free replacement. If not, don't hesitate to contact your local Volvo office to ask them to cover for the full costs.

I have just noticed exactly the same on our 2014 Volvo XC90 has anyone had any luck with getting these replaced out of warranty as would expect headlights to last longer than 6 years ! Also Have an 18 yr old s60 with good old glass lamps as good as new
