Default Shade difference between 445 Venetian Red and 454 Ruby Red

Can anyone tell me if there is a significant shade difference between 445 Venetian Red and 454 Ruby Red please?

I know Ruby Red replaced Venetian Red, but I wondered whether they are technically the same colour/shade/tint.

Many thanks

I think you will find they are different.
I purchased a part off ebay that looked very similar to my Ruby Red car but needed a respray to match.

Ruby Red was a 300 colour around 1988-91 ( Eindhoven factory ) .. I don't think they used that on the sweden built cars.

They are different, 445 is called Venetian Red Pearl, deeper and richer colour, it has mother of pearl reflection shades in the sun, what a great color!

And my Ruby Red 2003 V70 how it currently looks. I am still delighted with my choice, twenty years later!

(Nicely written) Yes, 454 Ruby Red per the OP. Nothing to do with 300 anything.

I think he meant 300 as in 'was used on the 300 series cars' (340, 360)

great little cars and do look really tasty in red

Thanks for the responses all!

I think it's safe to say it will be different then.

I have some lacquer peel on a door and bonnet and thought to swap them with a car I found breaking.

Looks like it will be going down the respray route instead.
