Spotify update won’t install - Page 4

Well this is weird - same problem as everyone else as headed over to Norfolk early on Tuesday- deleted the app, tried to reinstall and failed so left it. Got in the car to head back over to Wales this evening and pressed the install button, even tho it still said 0.00Mb - and it downloaded and installed something. No idea what because cant remember my id and password so will log in tomorrow - may be worth others having a look?

I been trying mine all day but no change. Tried last about 5pm or thereabouts.

Will try in morning tho.

After getting nowhere with the update yesterday, when I got in the car today at 5.15pm, Spotify immediately downloaded and installed without issue. Perhaps the problem has been resolved now.

Same this morning, but as I’d deleted the original app I couldn’t exactly enter the password while driving even if I could remember it.

Will find out in due course if they’ve reinstated the previous version or if we have a shiny new one with a whole slew of new bugs at which to marvel /s

I have experienced the same problem with the reinstall but finally managed to download and install the app at about 8-9pm yesterday. This time I could see the progression % for the download stage and installation stage separately although the size of the app was showing as 0.00MB. It took under 5 minutes to download and install and the car was connected to the internet via my iPhone personal hotspot.

Yep all working again.

The download is still showing as 0.00MB though but it does work.

I then paired my Spotify Volvo App to my main Spotify account.

Yes, Spotify downloaded and installed in about 2 minutes this morning.
Normal service is resumed!

Odd it has upset my install of 1266 maps though that had downloaded yesterday and was installing as of last night but hasn't continued this morning. I'm sure it'll sort itself out in due course!

Owndership of cars with a bit of tech is stressful.

same - tried to reinstall - showed 0mg but downloaded straight away
cant see any improvements or changes though?!
was hoping for the 'my daily mixes' to be available like they are on the phone app

I too endured this over the last day or two, glad it's resolved last night.

One welcome new feature is Artist Compilations. Previously when browsing by Artist, you were given a list of singles and albums, but greatest hits albums were not visible in this view. Now there is a new section after the album list.

Didn't notice anything else. Daily mixes would be good for sure.
