Default S80 TDi injection pump timing

Hi all
Following a timing belt failure on my 1999 S80 TDi, I replaced the broken camshaft, valves, cylinder head, timing belt etc.
My problem is setting the pump timing. - can this be done with a dial gauge and does anyone have the tool reference for the adapter piece that screws into the injection pump?
If it is possible to set the pump mechanically I would appreciate any advice regarding the procedure.
I believe the pump is a Bosch VP-37. I have found many timing kits for the VE type but not this one - Is the dial gauge adapter universal for all Bosch injection pumps?

Great forum - thanks for you help

the fine tuning has to be done on the volvo diagnostic tool electronicaly yes but the basic setting still has to be done mechanicaly . there are volvo tools to lock the pump in a certain position with the crankshaft at TDC.. , its basicly a pin goes through the pump pulley .
