I lost one on an XC60 and had to buy a new one from the dealer.
They come in a base colour and need to be sprayed to match the car.
As far as I remember, the cover just clips onto the extended washer arm.
Depending on model, the cover can be further secured by using a small plastic zipper.

Get the dealer to order it. That way, when they order the wrong part (and they will...) it's not your problem!

Their body shop painted it for me for a tenner, which was less than the cost of the spray and lacquer and a much better job than I could have achieved at home.

Just clips on. I added a blob of epoxy because I don't want it coming off again.

Have you tried your local Ford emporium? I think they are the same as used on the current Focus.
Nothing to lose and you may save a few quid.

One on order for less than a tenner I have some paint made so shouldn't be too hard. Do I just pull the jet out and clip it in. Is there no way it can be secured better

So have new part I must need to pull washer stalk out because it seems a little bit too far in to just clip on. Is that right or is the stalk nt supposed to go that far in

With the ignition off, you should be able, with gentle force, to pull the stalk out.
Cannot remember if you will need a third hand to hold it, while you fit the cover?

Was just a bit concerned once fitted and the stalk retracts will it not pull the cap against the bumper and fall off again. Think I'll use pliers can't get my fingers in ha ha
