2004 V40 1.8 SE Auto - 118K, MOT to 27-03-19
For Sale in Teddington, West London: 2004 Volvo V40 SE 1.8 auto, metallic silver, 118K miles. MOT expires 26 March 2019. £650-
Full black leather interior, all in good condition. Heated front seats; drivers seat with electric adjustment. A/C is working and blows nice and cold as required. Radio / cassette / CD player all functioning. Radio code available. Two keys, both working and with recent new batteries. "Extras" include visor mounted bluetooth hands-free phone unit and charger, plus spare bulb kit and spare pair of Osram Nightbreaker H7 headlight bulbs. Same owner since March 2008. One previous owner from original registration, 3-3-04 Main dealer / local garage service history to March 2012, which included timing belt change [72K miles] Thereafter self-serviced for oil, filters, plugs, with local garage servicing for fluid changes and any brake related works. Run on fully synthetic oil since 2012. Last oil change Feb 18, 112K miles, Shell Helix Ultra. Works / parts this year include:
Lots of documentation / receipts available from last 10 years with all MOT certificates, including first MOT, 2007, by previous owner. MOT History: 2018 PASS, 3x Advisories:
2016 initial fail, [2 items] with pass after remedial works:
2014 initial fail, [1 item] with pass after remedial works, plus two advisories
This car has generally been very reliable in my 10 years of ownership with only two immobilisation breakdowns in that time one due to battery failure in July this year [previous Bosch S5008 battery fitted 2011] and fuel pump failure, September 2010. Other failure / fault works: VVT solenoid replaced March 20012 [but fault mis-diagnosed] VVT pulley replaced July 2013. Auto box turbine speed sensor fault December 2013, replaced January 2014. The not-so-good bits: Colour coordinated bumpers do have some scuffs [consistent with 10+ years use in suburban London] Parking dent to offside wing, and centre of bonnet immediately above grille. No visible evidence of any rust. Headlight wiper motors do not work. Car is still a daily driver and has lots of miles left in it, but now has to go due to an offer I couldnt refuse [or resist!] on a 2018 V60 T4 auto. I dont have the facilities [or the ability, due to health reasons] to break it for parts, so please dont just ask if you can have bits off it. Thanks for your interest. |
