Sadly i won't be at the sale . I have attended the auctions there many times . The cars seldom reach the pre auction predictions set by the auctioneers.
I will jump in and say 12k max

That does look nice and correct. The interior has just the right amount of patina and given a good deep clean should look superb. Having had one when new, I still lust after them.
MOT history suggests it has stood since 2010, so will need some fettling. However, at 22000 miles should be a good base to start from.

I'd estimate something between £12 and £15k based on recent sales results. It does look a nice car and if the mileage is genuine that will be a good selling point, most ES's do tend to be quite low mileage when they appear on the market.
The car has had some bodywork done, the o/s inner wing looks to have been plated along the top edge as there is evidence of body caulking and the blue colour is deeper there. The pressure sensor for the D Jet injection system has also been re-mounted at the wrong angle. The fuel filler flap is now in body colour, it would have originally been matt black, and the chrome side mouldings on wings, doors and rear quarters are non original so I think the whole car has been resprayed at some time. Having said that, the seams on the outer sills and at the front indicator lamps are still visible so probably not much filling has taken place. It would be interesting to know what, if any, chassis welding has been done. |

Bought by South Norfolk Classics, not yet on their website but previewed on their facebook page. My £12k to £15k estimate was about right then!
