Volvo 850 R Auto Estate

For sale is my 850R automatic estate which I acquired in November 2007, the estate has had three former keepers and is white in colour. This week I have carried out a small service that included new spark plugs, oil and filter change so any potential buyer can purchase with confidence. The car has recently benefited from a replacement engine, turbo and injectors last year. The engine is the T4 variant and the turbo is a TD04 16t, the same as you will find in the manual 850 R and the phase one 70 series T5. The engine was purchased from a T5D5 forum member and was installed by Tim Williams on 2nd April 2010. When the engine was fitted it benefited from a new set of spark plugs, automatic transmission fluid replaced, engine oil and oil filter change, Volvo antifreeze replaced, new flywheel bolts, turbo oil return gasket/O ring, 2 dipstick tube O rings, oil cooler retaining clips, O rings and seals. The mileage for the replacement engine was 131,500 miles the mileage on the old engine was 237,800 miles. The car has done just over 2,000 miles since Tim fitted the engine.

The front brake discs have been replaced with Volvo 302 discs and Goodridge brake hoses all round, the lower wishbone bushes have been up-rated to polyurethane as has the top engine stabilising bush. The suspension and anti roll bars are all standard and in very good condition the handling benefits from a genuine Volvo front strut brace and an IPD rear strut brace, this year I flushed the brake fluid system so the car handles and brakes with confidence. I have uplifted the look of the rear by fitting phase one 70 series rear lights, the windscreen washer jets have also been replaced with the superior 70 series this gives a better spray pattern.

Their are not many white 850 Rs around. From what I know of their are 3 estates and 1 saloon. This is a nice example drives very well and looks the part

Their are only 2 White 850R estates ( I have the other one )
Their was 2 estates with same spec & 2 saloons one of which had black upholstery the other had the light beige interior
I have a letter from Volvo confirming this

Hi Simon, as Steve has written in an earlier post, there are three white 850R estates in the UK (one of them being a manual).

In that case their may well be 4 estates but their is only one saloon.
I have owned 3 of all the white R's two estates and the saloon. I had the manual estate with dark interior it is now owned by another chap who sometimes comes on VOC forum but I think his main forum is VPCUK. Laurence has put his estate up for sale a few times not sure if he ever sold it but was an auto with the cream interior like mine his had ultra low mileage though, if you bought Laurence's old car then their is only 3 estates I know of if not you have the 4th. That would tie up with the figures gained from DVLA I read a few years back. Their is allegedly a T5-R saloon in white but I have never seen it or heard anyone speaking of it.

Would be great to see the letter from Volvo any chance of posting it up?
