95' 850 t5-r
Got my eyes on something different and it's time to possibly part company with the Volvo. I'll be putting it on various sites next week but thought i'd pop it in here first and see what interest (If any it generates).
I've owned the car for 9 months and have a box full of history with it as well. Had over £5k spent by previous owner in the time he owned it. MOT till Jan 2010 and tax till Sept 2009. It has all the usual R refinements and all in working order. It has a Rica ECU upgrade which is supposed to be producing 280-300bhp. It has an uprated exhaust and a BSR Air filter (Sounds quite nice on boost). I recently serviced the car and had new oil/filter, brake fluid, Cambelt, Volvo spark plugs, Forge recirc blanking plate and rear brake caliper pins and springs. The chassis is where most of the money has been spent though. The suspension has been binned in favour of Koni FSD shock absorbers with H&R Springs and front and rear IPD anti-roll bars finished with a Volvo front strut brace. The brakes have been replaced with Drilled discs all round upgrading to 302mm discs on the front with Ferodo DS2500 pads and Goodridge hoses. The wheels are the standard 17" Titans with 205/45 R17 Pirelli P zeros' all round. Since those pictures it's also had a motorsport front splitter fitted also. As people always seem to ask when wanting to buy a car, my reason for sale is I love the Volvo but unfortunately 9 months without RWD is taking it's toll. I need to go back to what I enjoy so i'm looking at an R32 GTS skyline already drift prepped as I'd like to compete in the BDC if possible. It's a hell of alot of car for the money and would really need to be seen to appreciate just how good it is. I'm pricing it at £1900ono purely as it has quite high mileage at 190k but don't be put off by that as you wouldn't be able to tell. If interested please contact me via pm to answer any questions etc or on this mob No. 07990 811886 I love this car and don't mind talking to anyone about but be courteous people and no calls after 21:00 please. Regards Rob |

Re: T5r
Hello,
The car looks very tidy. Does it have real history: receipts and service book stamps? How many owners before you? Any interior and engine bay pictures, please? Cheers, T Quote:

Still got this.
It's now declared SORN and just given it a wash and polish. |

It's still here, can someone give me feedback on why i'm getting more responses from Pistonheads than on here? I would of thought this be a better place to sell her. Thanks |

I tried to sell my similar black T5-R a little while ago and got the same sort of response, at the moment these just aren't making enough money. I've actualy pulled mine from sale because I'm not going to give it away. Afraid that your only options are either to be patient or to drop you price...
Ps....Loving the splitter.....I wonder where you got that,lol... |

I've got the same problem selling my mint, low mileage, FSH Golf V5 - nobody is interested Things are just very slow at the moment I'm afraid. Its a nice looking T5-R though. Good luck with the sale.

Cheers TC,
I love it and it really makes the car look alot nicer. I keep getting Emails from people on pistonheads asking if i'd sell the splitter seperately. Must of had about 6 i'm not kidding. I can pass info on for you if you like or want the work? Rolling Thunder, Cheers mate, It's not the end of the world if I have to keep the old girl for longer so might just do that. |

Ive just been offered a mint 850R saloon by a trader friend of mine for £1,500 because he can`t shift it, just dont think folk are interested in these sort of motors anymore,
Ive bought and sold a few 850`s of late no R`s but 2.5`s and T5`s and i get quicker sales with the NA`s for under a grand, the two T5`s i had were nice but nobody wanted them privately, folk just weren`t interested in the Turbos they just wanted 2.0 or 2.5 NAs for less than a grand mostly because they wanted a reliable load lugger and nothing more the T5`s i put on Ebay in the end just to get shot, i wouldn`t buy another T5 and certainly not an R to make a few £ on the market is just too limited for them.
