Exclamation Front brakes squeek- new discs and pads

Hello all volvothusiasts

Had new discs and pads fitted other day. When they cold everything is ok. But when they heat up there is a distinctive squeel from front driver side. Being me got set of new pads thinking that is the problem but they squeek as well. Problem dissapear when gently tap a brake pedal. Oddly enough squeel only seems to be when on the move and I'm trying to turn gently steering wheel. I'm start wandering if it's not a time for a bearing to be change. Cost new £££ not likey.

Guys have any experience with that problem?

With kind regards

Luk

Did you apply copperease or something similar to where the pads touch the caliper/piston? This can generally cure squealling noises.

Yes all touching surfaces had been coppergreased. The problem seems to appear randomly on warm brakes. Say after about 40 or so miles. And only when moving slightly steering wheel. Not all the time. Is any chance that sliding pins are worn out or something?
Hope it's not a hub...

yep Clan.

not the lowest shelf but budget. LIVINGSTON AUTO PARTS never had any problems with their parts. and it's only a driver side.

Volvo spend £ millions making sure this doesnt happen , the calipers and discs are "tuned" so you don't hear and oscillation you get what you pay for unfortunatly .. ( Or fortunatly ! )

I had this with aftermarket pads, couldn't put up with any longer so changed for genuine ones and the problem stopped. I really do think you get what you pay for with a lot of things especially brake components.
