Has anyone used IPD recently?

Looks like I need a pair of Nivomats and IPD have them in stock, so I'm wondering how much import duty, VAT, etc will add to the bill. I'm guessing 10% duty, 20% VAT on top of the cost + shipping...

I know Scandix also have them, but the $ exchange rate is more favourable than the euro.

Thanks

What's wrong with the Uk for supply. They were around £400 each last time I enquired.
By the time you've paid duty, postage and Vat I doubt there will be anything in it.
You also pay duty and Vat on the total cos. So you get Fcuked over on the postage Duty and Vat wise.
Personally I wouldn't bother unless they are ridiculously cheap stateside to begin with.

And lest we forget, for collecting the duty, there's a courier admin charge for most couriers.

Cost + carriage + import duty + VAT + courier admin. + hour on phone to pay admin etc...
Been there often...
In my business I use Viabox where I'm gettign together 3-4 items, or the US outfit won't delvier to a UK address. Viabox amalgamate everything to one carton Yankside, then forward to you.

In the business of operating as brokers too, Viabox and others like them give you greater courier options, and often it's you that declares item 'value', which if you're a little 'artistic' might allow you to find your 'creative' side? Found at US prices, suggest you throw in a handful of Magnefine filters, or something similar, this way, you'll end up in profit from the whole carry-on. And if I recall, you need a Magnefine anyway. And that's correct, VAT comes in on the lot.

Thanks all.

I placed an order with FRF a few days ago - the Nivomats are actually available from Volvo still (at around £700/pair), albeit via a special order to Sweden. Placed quite a large order with them in the end, so I'll be busy when the box finally arrives
