Shark Fin and DAB?
Just bought a 2013 V70, D3 and wondered if the "Shark Fin" aerial is compatible with a Highway DAB adaptor? Would save me having to use an external magnetic mount. Thanks.

I’m pretty sure the shark fin doesn’t supply a feed to the radio. That’s done through the rear side glass? The shark fin is for the sat nav if you have it.

Aerial Splitter ?
Thanks for th information, which I think is correct. I'm now thinking of using an aerial splitter for my DAB adaptor. Anyone had an experience with them please?

I have a shark fin with no satnav so it must do something other than just sat nav signal? No DAB in my car either.

A splitter on the FM radio won’t work very well for DAB as the aerial is tuned for the FM radio band and not DAB so it will be inefficient.

I found the info here quite useful when I was looking to do mine, eventually went for a magnetic mounted antenna which works quite well, just not quite as tidy with the cable as I would have liked.

I've used the small film DAB antennas that stick inside the windscreen on a few cars with very good results, currently my wife's R53 MINI, my VW Caravelle and my previous Volvo 850. They are cheap and easy to fit, don't require drilling the car or getting into the headlining, running wiring out to to the boot etc. so perhaps an option?
I suppose you would have to get a new one if you had a windscreen replaced for some reason though but at about £20-30 not too much of an issue. On a related note, I'd love DAB in my 2009 V70 without too much messing around if there's some way to add the function to the standard stereo head unit?

Ahhh! I seem to have started a parallel thread asking about radio upgrades.
Sorry about that.
