brake light switch problem??
Hi all
I had a bulb go the other day and noticed the check brakes light kept on coming on and off on own accord. I seems that if i lift the brake pedal with my foot or tap the side of the pedal the light goes off again. Is their a switch somewhere on or by the pedal which could be causing the problem? Thanks all |

The brake pedal switch could be on the edge. It is easily influenced by the clutch pedal as well , my brake lights came on with the clutch until I fiddled around with it. Take off the panel just above the pedals for better access.

Fitted another CPS today and had a closer look at the brake light switch arrangement. It's mounted on the same bracket as the clutch pedal return spring. The bracket is not stiff enough and bends a little when the clutch is depressed and moves the brake switch sideways a little.
