Question fan motor rubber mounting lugs

i know that some of the forum members would have changed their heater motors at some point, im in the process of doing just that the problem that i am having is getting the rubber lugs on the fan casing seated onto the plastic carrier has any one found a solution its driving me nuts

If you follow my guide I used a different solution to mount my motor.

Hi I"ve done this job twice..put the rubber lugs in very hot water and lubed with washing liquid and you"ll get there...Though i have say the alternate solution looks very good.hj

Try and avoid washing up liquid as a lubricant if you can:~
After a little while the stuff will dry out & harden.

Visit your local plumbers merchant or similar and get some lubricant that is used for rubber seals on push fit waste/drain pipes.
