Question Dpf and egr delete

Hi all, advice needed please. We have an XC90 and (new to us) S60 in the family. Both D5 and both 2006. Whilst the XC90 generally behaves the S60 appears to be a 'pup' to use an old expression.

After a few miles of ownership it went into limp mode with various DPF messages. Having cleaned most of the sensors, checked for leaks etc it still comes up with the Soot Full message and 2A00, 2A30. I have cleared all errors and regenned many times and currently have a DPF Pressure sensor on order.

If that fixes it all well and good but, just in case, does anyone have any info on DPF and EGR delete, it's pros and cons and likely cost. Thanks in advance.

Was going to suggest jlm I think it’s called il look now in minute,it’s foam cleaner you spray in sensor holes leave it be half hour or so bolt sensor back take it for hood hard drive but Iv see you have forces re gen on it possibly clogged solid witj soot, might be good idea to bolt it off inspect it and try some of that cleaner over night on a bench, had same problem on my dads octavia city runs and it cured it,I’d just be careful on forges re gen if it’s clogged could damage filter insides

As far as removal it’s about 250/400€ here they take filter off car cut back so can’t be seen take out core weld it up bolt it all back disable software I know here it passes nct it’s just visual check not sure on mot tho??but you will think it’s a totally different car if you go that route

there is no point in doing forced regens un till you find the problem that's stopping the car regening on its own . possible causes are dpf pipes or sensor.. glow plugs .egr valve. oil level to high. these are the most common but there are also other possibility's check these first.
