S40 remote hunt
Hello! Does anyone know where i can purchase a car remote for a cheaper price instead of through manufactures? S40 2001.

Try a breakers that specialize in volvos, and depending on the fobs you need. If the fobs are separate from the keys then make sure you get the remote central locking control unit as well, other than that the only option is the dealership, hope this helps, oh and forget ebay cos any fobs on there are useless cos they can't be coded without the fob serial number specific to that fob.

you can use a second hand fob on the S/V40 but it will need a software download at the dealer to code the car to it .

err a fob is something which hangs from a chain or keyring .. the remote press button thingy to open the doors .( Quaint british expression )
