Default Bluetooth

Hi,

Apologies if this has been asked a 1000 times before, but I'm rubbish at searching for stuff on this forum.

I have a 2003 D5 V70 with standard stereo/head unit.

I'm after a Bluetooth device that I can fit (myself preferably) that will integrate with the stereo (cut off when phone rings and sounds come through the car speakers)

someone recommended replacing the head unit with an xtrons 7 unit where you get SATNAV, Bluetooth ... the lot. I quite like the Volvo head unit and and happy to use a separate SATNAV, just want a bluetooth add on really.

Any recommendations ?

Thanks

Search fleabay etc for a grom bt3 buddy
Gonna treat myself to one some day
The standard Volvo stereo (I have an HU850) is awesome and I don’t want to change it but already have a parrot kit for the fone
Still want to have an iPod option though
Hence the need for the grom kit
Usually around 130 quid
Regards
Chris

The Parrot MKI9X00 units do music streaming as well as phone calls. Order it with a SOT-045 cable and it's a plug and play install. It'll interrupt whatever your stereo is playing whenever a phone call comes in or you start playing music and output through the stereo speakers.

I got myself a Grom BT3 and replaced the installed Parrot hands free which didn't provide a BT interface.

Loving the Grom and it works fine as hands free, interrupting any music that I'm playing from my phone. The only downside is that I need to switch to CD10 if a call comes in whilst I'm listening to the radio.
