It’s improving, it was at 27.7 before I replaced the failed thermostat.

I was shopping for a petrol engine car when I bought this one as don’t usually do a big mileage, got petrol economy in a diesel 😂 bought the D5 as I’m a sucker for gadgets and it’s loaded with them!

thanks for very informative reply. Even if i drive every day on motorway i dont know when the regeneration process will start - it might be just before parking the car -so the key is not to interrupt the process when it starts - correct? Some indication might be that fuel consumption goes up but it is a bother to monitor is all the time i think so still inclined to have an indicator.

i have car scanner as well. Could you please share which parameters shall i monitor to detect dpf regenaration?

It tells you when an active regeneration last happened. The figure then falls to zero when it happens. Additionally the DPF temperature sensor value will rise significantly during an active regen.

I did have to properly configure the app to get DPF (and engine oil level) data. Was simply a matter of using the pick list to tell it what the car was.
