Electrics: Towing electrics : Loom Cable - where to buy

Hello all

My 51 plate S80 has the OEM detachable towbar fitted.

Unfortunately the 13pin trailer electrics socket has been severely graunched at some point in the past so I need to replace it.

I really don’t want to lie on my back soldering a new one on so the easiest course would be to get a complete new Volvo cable assembly of socket, cable and ready-wired connector to plug into the boot loom. It’s an easy job. And I like easy...

Lots of generic ones online but I’ve been bitten by those in the past and don’t want to be breaking/splicing into existing circuits when there’s a proper loom.

So can anyone suggest where best to buy the pukka assembly? My usual searches are drowning in a sea of generic towbars... 😀

If you can't go to a Volvo dealer try going to www.tascaparts.com. They're in the States so shipping will make you shop local but they will list the p/n with look-up.

just get the 13 pin wiring kit from volvo , reasonably priced and properly sealed to last .
