The correct term is "Wiring Terminal" they are not all standard in the motor industry , Each manufacturer seems to have their own . With Volvo there are multiple choices on each type regarding material and wiring size and plating type , tin , gold , zinc so you can have say 10 different part numbers for every identical looking Terminal and there may be 20 + different terminals used on the car. to make it worse they change them all again with every new model range where they become smaller and more plentiful around the car! They are all listed in Vida so it is up to the "Trained" parts person to choose the one you ask for .. they also come with 6 inches of cable ready crimped to make it easier for you . so that is double the number of part numbers again .

Not all cars monitor the fog lamp.
To test if your's does, simple remove the foglamp bulb, turn on the rear foglamps and go for short a drive. Some of the lamp monitoring systems take a bit of time to determine that the lamp is blown (or missing), and thus a short drive helps it. If your car does not monitor the fog lamp, then just add another bulb in parallel.

I've completed this job today by using a standard uninsulated spade connector which holds in place in the connector.
No CANBUS errors or problems.
