Default Radiator to expansion tank hose

Hello,

I've never had much bother with hoses so not sure what to do here.

Recently had a clip break and the hose from the top of the radiator to the coolant expansion tank has sprung a leak after rubbing on the alternator belt.

I patched it up with ptfe and duct tape and forgot about it (I know... )

Today while getting shopping I noticed the fan running after a 5 minute drive, lo and behold the repair has failed.

What would people suggest... not knowing much about hoses, does anybody know the id and od of this hose? Can I just go and buy a length? Where from, with the lockdown? Or a repair kit? Rubberising tape? Not sure if the heat is an issue for that.

I need the car to get to work, I work for an essential business.

Corby, UK btw.

Hi Matt

This is one of the first jobs I did on mine after buying it 9 years ago. A previous owner/mechanic had seemingly accidently sliced a chunk out while doing another repair and I didn't want to take any chances so just swapped a new one in.

It's Volvo part 30812731 and the two clips are part 00978171 (although small jubilee clips will also be fine). Total of £9.20 back then.

Might be worth ringing round garages, some of them are still supplying parts.

That's great, thanks. Sorry for the late reply, my email address for notifications must be wrong.
