Default Post a Pic of your XC90

Right guys just a bit of fun in these boring Coronavirus lockdown times! I know we all talk about our cars a lot but rarely show them off on this part of the forum.

I know there is a showroom section of the site but thought we could each just post some pics of our cars for others enjoyment.

I’ll start this is mine after a wash today, 13 years old 125,000 miles and looking in pretty good condition I think.
A couple of minor additions Nudge bar (yes I know very marmite you either love them or hate them!), wind deflectors and side steps.
Edit: forgot later style front grill, exhaust tips, window tints and a remap!

It is only an S model so no toys and the only thing I would change is nicer/larger alloys.

Now let’s see yours...

Regards,

Chunk

Mine, the day after I bought it.
The trim is now a little blacker and the door handles have been sprayed to match the body colour.
Mine is a little older than yours (just turned 17) but about the same mileage.
No new toys, other than the stereo I just finished fitting.

Very nice father ted loving the stereo upgrade makes the car look a lot more modern and I'm sure more functional.

Here's mine. I can't be arrissed to move so here's a still from one of my security cameras.

2009 185 D5 R Design SE with premium audio, comms and winter packs.

Modifications include DAB, 2/70 ham radio, and a 20" led light bar mounted below the front number plate (very discrete).

Default Here’s mine

165000 miles. Had it for just over 2 years and needed £2000 spent on its last MOT as the steering was faulty. New rack and pump plus Labour, off the road for 3 weeks whilst we waited for official volvo parts! Now we have the dreaded anti skid message!! But we only do 4000 miles a year, if that to tow the horses to competitions for my daughter Spends most of its time just parked up!! Used as a 4th car

New battery last month and other than that it starts and moves every time time we get in her!
SE Lux geartronic d5 2.4 185 I think it is.

I also buying a c30 T5 manual as soon as this lock down finishes if I can find one near me.

This is mine, SE diesel my 03. I have had her for 3 years. 170k miles.

Replaced engine and turbo, transfer box and sleeve, angle sensor etc etc etc. Only does about 5k a year, to boatyard and back. No new toys but existing all work.

Not going anywhere at the moment and I understand lots of short drives not beneficial to diesel cars.

Perhaps the more expert can recommend ways of keeping our cars fit in the current circumstances?IMG_20200406_084243_0_compress61.jpg

I should have mentioned, mine is 141,000 miles, full Volvo dealer history, and the only failure has been one of the HID headlamp "bulbs". I intend to keep it with the dealer for servicing.

I know what you mean John doing a couple of mile drive once or twice a week isn’t going to be good for a big Diesel engine especially not one with a Dpf! Only thing I could suggest which I have done a couple of times is go the “long way” back adding extra mileage/time and some faster roads if possible like dual carriageway or motorway.
Depending where you live not sure if this is possible if it isn’t not too sure what to suggest really.

Cheers,

Chunk
