  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

been all over google with no joy..

cant find a single thing on how to disconnect the back seat heater matrix thingy


anyone ?

anyone any ideas how i can easily and safely disconnect the seat heater from heating the back support/seat section ?

I can't provide any technical help, but if you can't get help here you could possibly try the "General Volvo and Motoring Discussions" section, as it perhaps see's a bit more traffic than this model specific one, and the component/issue may duplicate in other models. You may however get the same response, but probably worth a shot.

Completely different car, but seemingly identical problem. Solution here seemed to be to change the switch.

thanks

cant see it being the switch to be honest...it clicks on and off..and lights on and off when you do it

a lot of switch problems tend to suggest it sticking etc

think the actual seat also can be turned on and off ok...just the back one stays on

still cant believe removing the seat heater fuse does nothing to stop the problem !?

Check the manual is for the right model year. Its possible the fuses have changed if it isn't the right year.
