HELP! Info Required - MY 2006 C70 Boot lid

Hi All
If I've asked for this before,my apologies as I haven't seen any answers. My query is whether or not it is possible to adjust the boot lid without messing up the roof mech. sensors. I dinked the panel that contains the 3rd brake light. That has been replaced with a panel from a breakers, but I've noticed water ingress into the O/S of the boot compartment and it appears to be coming in over the weather strip. Also looking at the lines, the lid seems slightly raised more on the O/S than the N/S so I was wandering if this could be adjusted down to tighten it over the weather strip.

Hi All
I must admit I'm surprised nobody seems to have an answer to my query! I just want to know can I tighten the boot lid down a tad on my C70 mk2 or not? If I can, give me a clue where to start.
