Default ECC fault

I have a 97 v70 t5,my climate control has stopped working properly, the fan works but it won't change temperature or direction of air flow, also the ac button light is flashing constantly. I had a friend plug it in to his fault reader and it lists 1 fault as 212 no fault found. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong please?

Been a while but if memory serves that code relates to a problem with the temperature flap/damper motors circuit.
Is the fault just on auto or is there no change on manual adjustment either ?
The flashing light is simply telling you there is a fault with the system, think they flash around 20 secs or so to let you know this.
These motors are controlled by the climate/switch panel, the wiring on these cars is normally quite good, my thoughts would be either the motors or the climate panel require checking
You'll need to get your head under the dash to whats going on.
